Case Study 02
A multinational company concerned about the security of their operations in a politically volatile region sought a service that would provide an assessment of the nature of the risk they faced, measures that needed to be taken in order to pragmatically address their vulnerabilities, and additional pre-emptive steps that could be adopted in order to further reduce their potential to be targeted by identified adversaries. The impetus driving this client was that they wanted to remain in their target market because of the growth they were experiencing.
After liaising with the client to identify their strategic and operational protocols along with their interests and needs within their target market, SAM developed a phased Risk Management service package. The first phase focused on compiling a detailed strategic, operational and tactical political and security risk report. Written after conducting in-depth operations in country, this report provided the foundation from which SAM was able to give the client strategic risk management recommendations.
Further detailed investigations conducted in-country allowed SAM to conduct a vulnerability assessment of the client's key installations. This phase enabled us to identify vulnerabilities and measure them against the adversarial capabilities discovered in the first phase of the Risk Management package. SAM was thus able to provide the client with a thorough set of detailed soft and hard countermeasures that ultimately helped secure their personnel, infrastructure and reputation.
